Introduction

National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP 2020), focuses on the internationalisation of education in India. It is one of the goals of the NEP-2020 to achieve “Internationalisation” to make Indian HEIs self-reliant and comply with the global standards and norms to attract international students to Indian universities and educational institutions from abroad. It aims to facilitate teaching and research collaborations and faculty and student exchange programs with foreign universities by signing a MoU with them.

K. J. Somaiya College of Arts, Commerce & Science is committed to National Education policy and implemented internationalisation by collaborating with foreign universities and educational institutions under the guidance of IQAC. The college has a distinct International Collaboration and Linkage department. Since 2021, the College has reached Colombia, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Brazil, Philippines, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, Greece, Plaridel Quezon, Egypt, Shri Lanka, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

The college has two active International Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UiTM, MARA University, Malaysia, and the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, Molino, Philippines. Apart from this college has organised academic, research and cultural exchange programmes such as International Conferences, International Colloquium, Workshops, lecture series, cultural exchanges, and communication with various global universities. The objectives of these activities are to make available global platforms and opportunities to the students of K.J. Somaiya College which is situated in rural India. We aim to develop and offer courses to foreign students based on Arts, Commerce, Science, Technology and Culture and admit our students to foreign universities through student exchange programmes. Arranging more student exchange Programmes, Faculty Exchange programmes, Research collaborations, International Conferences, Research Workshops, and Cultural exchange programmes is the goal of our institutions. In addition, Indian culture, and sciences such as Yoga, AYUSH, Indian languages, Indology, Folk Art and Folk Music, History, etc. are the identity of India and we are committed to spreading it globally through International Collaboration and Linkages activities.

IQAC of K. J. Somaiya College always strived for excellence in education through linkages, collaborations and MoUs with the institute of international repute. As a result, IQAC zeroed in on the following international institutes and decides to have associations with them.
