Establishment:

In the decade of 1960 the country was awakening for mass education. Various social reformers in Maharashtra were forming private educational societies for the mass education, especially in cities like Pune and Satara. In other parts of Maharashtra also some social and political leaders were emerging with social mission of providing education to the rural masses and specially to the downtrodden class.

In this mission, our visionary leader Late. K. B. Rohamare (then MLA) took the initiative to form an educational society for the upliftment of students from rural area, especially in higher education. He, along with Padmabhushan Late. K. J. Somaiya’s financial support and Late. Mohaniraj Korhalkar’s land donation, formed Kopargaon Taluka Education Society in 1964. Since its inception the society is imparting quality education to the rural masses. Students from small and remote villages, wadis and vastis availing education and made their life successful. 

Aims and Objectives of KTE'S:

 To facilitate and spread education for all classes of the society in Kopargaon taluka by starting and conducting:

·  Schools for imparting Montessori and Primary Education

·  Schools for imparting secondary education

·  Schools for imparting partially or wholly Industrial, Vocational, Agricultural and Technical education

·  Training Institutions

·  Colleges for imparting Higher education in Engineering, Medical, Agriculture, Arts, Commerce and Science

·  Multi-Purpose schools or Polytechnics

·  To help pupil by offering necessary facilities for enabling them to take higher education

·  To make residential accommodation available for males and female students and teachers of this institution and perform all activities that may be deemed for allotment of the Society’s aims and objectives as stated above.
